Ingredients:
4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
1 tbsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp fresh ginger, finely grated
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp sea salt (adjust to taste)
1 tbsp lemon juice
Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions:
Marinate the Chicken:
In a large bowl, combine olive oil, turmeric, ginger, garlic, cumin, paprika, black pepper, salt, and lemon juice. Mix well to form a paste.
Rub the mixture generously over the chicken thighs, ensuring even coverage.
Cover and let the chicken marinate in the fridge for at least 1 hour (or up to 24 hours for deeper flavor).
Preheat the Air Fryer:
Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
Cook the Chicken:
Place the marinated chicken thighs in the air fryer basket in a single layer, skin-side up.
Cook at 375°F for 20-25 minutes, turning halfway through, until the chicken is crispy and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
Garnish and Serve:
Once done, remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for 5 minutes.
Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with a side of roasted vegetables or quinoa.
Pro Tips:
For an even crisper skin, lightly spray the chicken thighs with olive oil before air frying.
Adjust the turmeric and ginger to taste if you prefer stronger flavors.
Serve with a yogurt-based dip (like a cucumber raita) to complement the spiced chicken.
